As a Phoenix Baby Photographer, I love helping you document your baby’s first year of developmental milestones. I don’t want to keep reminding you, but it’s true: they grow so quickly, especially in the first year. And, you won’t want to miss capturing them all!  In the first year, your baby will go from barely holding their head up during tummy time to standing to take their first steps. While in the meantime, you’re still trying to catch up on sleep and trying to wrap your head around how fast your baby has grown! Maternity

First, you’ll start with a maternity session, which is recommended when you are between 28 and 34 weeks pregnant. A maternity session is a way for you to celebrate not only the joy of being pregnant but it is also celebrating yourself. You will enjoy taking a moment to slow down and not stress about all of the planning that comes with expecting a newborn. This is a great time to bond with your significant other, and older siblings, while you embrace your baby bump. One day, you may miss your cute bump as you reminisce about your pregnancy.

Newborn

Welcoming your baby home is full of wonderful memories and countless emotions. You want to capture their tiny fingers and toes, smile at every yawn, and coo, while you snuggle to their newborn scent(the best smell on Earth!). You’re exhausted from the birthing journey and sleepless nights. But, you’re overjoyed that your baby has finally arrived. Your newborn session will take place 7-21 days after birth. I offer in-home lifestyle newborn sessions not only for your comfort but to also document those first few bonding moments forming in your home. Siblings, grandparents, and furry family members are always welcome, after all the whole family is excited!

6- Month Milestone / Sitter

Sitter sessions are my favorite milestone!  At this time, your baby’s personality is really starting to shine. They are using their voice, reaching for anything that catches their eye, and love to play games like “peek-a-boo!” Plan this session for when your baby is almost 7 months, or as soon as your baby is sitting on their own, unassisted. You can celebrate this milestone either in-home or on location in an outdoor setting.

Please remember, every child is different! There is no need to rush this session, you’ll just want to complete it before your baby’s first birthday.

 

 

Baby’s First Birthday

Finally, your baby is turning one! And, you can’t believe how quickly the past year has gone by. At this time, your baby may be crawling faster than you can walk, pulling themselves up to stand, and calling you “mama” or “dada.” Your session can be a simple, minimalistic cake smash set-up or leave out the cake completely! You can choose to have this session in-home or on location in a studio or outdoors.
