Hello! I’m Jasmyn, an Arizona Family Photographer. Your photo shoot experience is very important to me. I document each session as if I were gathering memories of my own family. I always bring positive energy and a great amount of care! As a mom, I know how busy and tired you are as a parent. I know how hard life can be to do anything outside of the daily schedule. But, you want to freeze time, because it’s all happening so quickly! You just realized that in your daily life schedule, precious moments are flying by as your family grows. Whether you’re booking a maternity, newborn, baby milestone, or family session, I love providing a “done-for-you” service. I want to take as much off of your hands as possible. Therefore, I have created an experience that allows you to spend more of your time enjoying what matters most: making memories with your family.

Here is a step-by-step journey of your luxury experience with me as your Arizona Family Photographer.

1. Let’s connect! Inquire and schedule a phone chat!

First, let’s get to know each other! I want to learn about you and your family. Give me all of the details! 

• WHAT makes your family unique?
• HOW do you envision yourself? 
• WHERE would you like your photos taken?
• Is there a special reason that you’re choosing WHEN to schedule photos?

I understand, sometimes a phone call can be scary, but I promise you won’t regret it. So many ideas can get lost in translation over text. What you may consider “trendy” may not match what I consider “trendy.” It’s important that we both are on the same page so that I can truly represent your family. A phone consultation will allow us to be very clear.

When to reach out.

It’s never too early to start planning. I recommend getting on my schedule ASAP! Because of the very hands-on service that I provide, I only take a limited number of clients each month. I want to ensure that each family is fully taken care of and has their needs met. 

2. Client Closet & Styling Guidance

 Once things are official, I create a styling board full of wardrobe choices and give guidance on how to style the entire family. You want to look your best!

How you dress is very important. 

These images are meant to be passed down for many generations. Think back to the images of your grandparents, great-grandparents, and beyond. I bet you were amazed at the styles they were wearing at that time. You want to create the same effect for YOUR legacy images. 

I ensure color choices, patterns, and textures are cohesive and will look great on camera. How you feel will translate through the photographs. However, with my suggestions, I still want you to be comfortable like for you to be yourself. 

Hair & Makeup

If you don’t know of a hair and makeup artist of your own, I will refer you to a recommended professional to pull your entire look together. Even if you’re makeup savvy, a professional will apply makeup and hair that is perfect for the camera. Plus, why not pamper yourself and truly make a day of it! Please note, make any drastic changes weeks in advance before your photoshoot. Give new hair color and cuts time to settle in.

3. Picking the perfect location for your family photos in Arizona.

The location of your family photoshoot sets the mood. I try my best to accommodate what you envision. But, I remind you to think logically! Finding a grassy green location with a lake and forest is harder to come by without a bit of travel. Picking the perfect location sets the mood for your family photos. Part of your experience of working with me is that I find the best location to suit your needs. I am always going on “photo ventures” to find the best locations around the Phoenix valley and beyond. I am always taking notes on accessibility to accommodate expecting moms, small children, and physical ease.

You’ll never have to spend your time driving around countless miles. I do all of that for you!

In the Phoenix valley, we do have many options to choose from! We are also lucky to have great weather the majority of the year. For those hot summer months, I highly recommend sunrise sessions, in-studio, or in-home. I take a very limited number of sunset sessions when temperatures reach over 100 degrees. I want you and your family to be as comfortable as possible during your family photoshoot. We don’t want to risk anyone feeling ill. 

 

4. A stress-free family photoshoot experience.

You will be gently guided throughout your entire session. I want you to feel like yourself, but also know what to do. I remind you to just relax and interact with your family as you normally would. Play games, tell jokes, and give embracing hugs. This is how I catch those magical moments and authentic personalities. I want your photographs to enhance you, not to put on a show. Show up as you are!

You are documenting your family in your current season.

Sometimes, that looks extremely happy and energized, other times it looks somber yet warm and endearing. Either is totally okay! Let the kids be kids. Within reason, it’s okay for them to explore. 5. Your Photo reveal to design and order your heirloom family photographs!

Within one week after your session, you get to see your photos! This is my favorite part because oftentimes it is emotional. I love seeing reactions from your photo reveal.

We will set up a time for you to sit down and go through each image from your session. This can either be done over Zoom or in-person at your home or a local coffee shop. During this time, you will choose which images you want to purchase. We will also design how you want each photograph to be printed. I help you choose images based on what you would like to do with them. If you want an album, I help make sure the layout perfectly tells your story. If you choose a gallery wall installation, I help you choose images that give a cohesive look. The options are endless!

The most important part is that all images are printed, no matter how you choose to print them. I strongly believe your photographs should physically live within reach and be displayed in your homes or where you gather most. You’ll appreciate having printed photographs to pass down through your family for many generations.
